Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of early childhood education on the social and academic readiness of children entering primary school. Early childhood education is considered a crucial initial stage in a child's development, laying the foundation for their success in subsequent levels of education. This research employs a quantitative research design, collecting data through surveys and observations of a group of early childhood children participating in a preschool education program, as well as a group of children not enrolled in a similar program. The findings indicate that children who attend early childhood education tend to exhibit better social readiness levels, including interpersonal skills with peers and adaptation to the school environment. Furthermore, they also demonstrate higher academic readiness in terms of early literacy and numeracy skills compared to children who do not attend early childhood education programs. These findings underscore the importance of early childhood education in preparing children for primary school entry. The implications of this research emphasize the need for greater support for early childhood education programs and increased awareness among parents and communities regarding the significant benefits this education provides in shaping a child's developmental foundation
