Abstract

Fitrah is a fundamental concept in Islamic teachings that refers to the innate human potential since birth. This article examines the concept of human fitrah from the perspective of thematic interpretation (tafsir) of the Qur'an and its implications for education. Using the literature study method, this article analyzes Qur'anic verses related to human fitrah and the interpretations of scholars in thematic exegetical works. The analysis results show that humans are created with a pure fitrah, but the environment and external factors also shape the development of this fitrah. The implications of the fitrah concept for education are very important, including the importance of preserving and nurturing children's fitrah from an early age, creating a conducive educational environment for fitrah growth, and developing curricula and teaching methods aligned with human fitrah. By understanding the concept of fitrah, education can be directed towards developing the best human potential according to their fitrah as God's creation
